About LMWS

Welcome to the web presence of the Lincoln Miniature Warfare Society, we are a wargames club situated in the historic city of Lincoln, the heart of 'Bomber County'.

The Lincoln Miniature Warfare Society was formed over 15 years ago in 1993. We are a wargaming club that covers all the periods of history, using many of the common scale of figures including 6mm, 15mm, and 25mm figures.

We cater for all wargamming periods, Ancients to Medieval to Napoleonic to World War II to Sci-Fi, either small skirmishes, full battles or campaigns. We do have our favourite games, but we will try to cater for all periods. We are willing to try new ideas, or use any set of rules. The wargames we run are on an informal basis and we believe that everyone should have a good time and enjoy themselves.

We meet on Monday evening (except for over Christmas) at around 7:30 pm in the function room at the Golden Eagle pub, on the High Street, Lincoln, so if you are over 16 why not contact us. Come on over, participate in one of the games, you may enjoy yourself.

If Lincoln City Football club are at home we may not have a meeting due to difficulties of parking. We also do not meet on Bank Holidays.

On your first night there is no charge to attend, after the first visit members pay £1.00. If you put on a game then you pay nothing. Starting membership is £5.00 for the first year or part of (each year starts in November). In November annual subscriptions are due at £1.00. All the money collect from members is used to pay for the nights accommodation, to purchase club miniatures, and to purchase club scenery. Members are free to use the scenery on Monday nights during the session for any game, scenery can be borrowed if cleared by a committee member and signed for.

Finally did I mention we meet at a 'Real Ale' pub!
