Red Squirrels

Had a great day in the Yorkshire Dales with professional photographer Simon of Wild Dales Photography. It was a great opportunity to watch the Red Squirrels in a native environment, especially one cheeky visiter to the hide who decide to see what we were doing and joined us inside. Unfortunately the lens I was using has a minimum focus of 3m so being a foot away from one of then meant he was a little close.

We had upto 10 Red Squirrels at one time so there was plenty of photographic opportunities and thanks to the company and advise from Simon was an excellent experience that I am planning to do again soon.

Adders 24 March 2012

Spent the morning on Kirkby Moor looking for Adders basking in the sunshine. They proved to be difficult to find.

Towards the end of the morning we were able to find one female adder through the undergrowth which we were unable to get any shots.

We found the male Adder on one of the fallen down trees
